The inside hollow groove gives additional flexibility to the body and simplifies the rig’s making including the most complicated Double Hook Rig (see pictures of various rigging). You also can input additional weights into the groove to achieve the necessary balance and sinking rate in case of Wacky rigging.

Super shad
Used the Awaruna on the sand flats the water depth was just over a metre and i had 10 GT hook ups landed 3 ...since i was using just 20 lb braid my drag was not set heavy enough even the sharpess of jigheads did not penetrate hard GT jaws....but NO 1 lure i must say..
