Gaff

A gaff is an essential piece of safety equipment for any angler targeting large fish from a boat — providing a secure way to bring large, powerful fish aboard without the risk of a net breaking or a tired fish recovering and escaping at the last moment. Cabral Outdoors stocks a range of fishing gaffs suited to Indian offshore and coastal fishing.

 Our gaff range includes: fixed-handle gaffs in 1–2m lengths for general boat use, telescopic gaffs that extend from 1m to 3m+ for shore-based fishing from rocks and piers where reach is critical, and heavy-duty offshore gaffs with stainless steel hook points for targeting large GT, tuna, marlin, and other big gamefish.

 Gaff selection: choose hook gap based on your target species — 6cm gaps for fish up to 10kg, 10cm gaps for 10–30kg fish, and 15cm+ gaps for trophy gamefish. Always use stainless steel hook points for saltwater use to prevent corrosion. Store your gaff with the hook protected when not in use for crew safety on the boat.
