I Purchased this Rod as a Backup, as my Majorcraft Crostage 7'3" Rod had to get a Guide Serviced.
Using this Rod, with My Shimano Tranx 401HG, and I can Cast easily upto 90 Mtrs, with 50g of Lead. about 40 mtrs with 25g. Even in Windy Situations. It Loads Up Pretty Nicely.
Fighting & Landing 3-5kg Trevally, Snapper and Grouper is a fun experience, however, I do Find it a Bit more of a "REGULAR ACTION" kinda Rod, that actually Transfers most of the Fish Fighting Energy to your Hands and Body, making it a Tiring Task if you are constantly fighting back to back Bites.
HERE,
My MajorCraft Rods are great for their Action. It's like a Medium Fast, soft tip ... that takes Majority of the Fighting Pressure Off MY HANDS & BACK, so, its less Tiring. BUT YES, They Do come at almost 10 Times the Price Of this TAKAGUNA.
All In All ... The Takaguna for the Price, is Brilliant !!! Just pair it Up with a Nice BaitCaster ... that's It.
& I Love Using It.
But Still Prefer My MajorCraft Crostage and GiantKilling Rods MOST of the TIME.
