Fluorocarbon Leader

Fluorocarbon leader material is essential for any angler targeting fish in clear water or around structure. With a refractive index nearly identical to water, fluorocarbon leaders are virtually invisible to fish — dramatically increasing strikes in pressured or clear water situations. Unlike monofilament, fluorocarbon sinks slowly and offers excellent abrasion resistance against rocks, teeth, and structure.

Our leader range covers ultra-fine strengths from 4lb for LRF and trout fishing, through medium strengths of 10–30lb for general sea fishing, to heavy shock leaders of 60–200lb for big game, GT, and surf casting applications.

For most Indian fishing scenarios, we recommend 12–20lb fluorocarbon for coastal light tackle, 30–50lb for offshore jigging, and 80–150lb as shock leaders for heavy surf casting. Connect your leader to braid using an FG knot or Alberto knot for the strongest, most streamlined connection.
